To further strengthen the cluster effect of the laser industry, the 2021 High-Power Fiber Laser Technology and Its High-End Industrial Applications Forum was held in Chengdu on April 21. During the forum, renowned academicians and experts in the high-power fiber laser field, along with industry leaders and representatives from relevant government departments, delivered keynote speeches.
The delegates attending the meeting engaged in an in-depth discussion on various topics, including the development trends of high-power fiber lasers, the critical technologies that must be addressed for domestic R&D efforts, several key fundamental scientific issues in the high-power fiber laser field, and the promising prospects for their applications in vital sectors.
At the meeting, Yixi Jiangcuo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Youxian High-Tech Industrial Park, provided a detailed introduction of the Youxian District Laser Entrepreneurship Park project, highlighting the district's strengths in areas such as collaborative technological innovation, commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and the attraction of top-tier talent.
Following the forum, Youxian District connected with 12 leading companies from various industries, and both government and business representatives engaged in in-depth discussions on potential collaboration opportunities. Both sides expressed their commitment to further enhancing communication and cooperation in areas such as investment promotion, industrial partnerships, and the commercialization of scientific research outcomes—aiming for mutual benefits and shared success.
Yixi Jiangcuo told reporters: "At this forum, Youxian District officially launched its laser industry base and successfully connected with over 20 research institutions and enterprises expressing interest in collaboration. As a result, the laser industry base has further enhanced its visibility and reputation, while strengthening cooperation channels among academia, local authorities, and businesses. Taking the opportunity to accelerate the development of the laser industry base, Youxian District will leverage the region's project advantages even more, focusing on building a robust service system tailored to the rapid growth of the laser industry. Together, we’re committed to establishing a world-class industrial base that ensures independent control over key core technologies and delivers cutting-edge laser equipment."
