BEIJING, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) — To vigorously cultivate and practice socialist core values, promote traditional Chinese virtues, and foster a new era of positive social trends, the Publicity Department of the Central Committee, the Office of the Central Commission for Guiding Spiritual Civilization, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Communist Youth League Central Committee, the All-China Women's Federation, and the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission recently issued the "Notice on Selecting and Commending the 9th National Moral Models" (full text to be released separately), along with implementation guidelines. This move marks the official launch of the selection and commendation process for the 9th National Moral Models. The document calls for extensive efforts to promote learning from and publicizing these role models, encouraging people to admire, emulate, and strive to become moral exemplars themselves. Ultimately, this initiative aims to cultivate a robust societal atmosphere characterized by moral integrity, kindness, emulation of virtuous individuals, and a shared commitment to upholding ethical values across the nation.
